Worldwide Celtic family to boost Jinky fund

Last updated : 27 August 2006 By United Websites
Unnofficial Celtic websites have joined together in an attempt to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association in memory of the greatest ever Celt Jimmy Johnstone.

Recently the Sun newspaper carried a story where it was alleged that one sick individual had "ran off" with over £700 pounds collected for the fund at a five-a-side tournament in Glasgow and that the charity would suffer as the funds were unlikely to be recovered.

The worldwide Celtic family has been asked to help make sure the the MND fund does not suffer and the new appeal to raise the funds has been set up so that all money raised goes DIRECTLY to the charity including tax benefits if you are a UK Citizen.

Celtic websites were inundated with people offering to help replace the "missing" funds and you can now do this by donating here

Thank you in advance for any donations and even if you can't donate your moral support is appreciated.

webmasters... ALL Celtic sites are asked to help and ALL Celtic sites have been approached. The Major sites have all put the appeal in a prominent place but there is one or two sites where the organisers of this appeal have perhaps emailed the wrong person. Please join in and over the course of today the organisers will try to contact all websites again no matter how big or small.

Although this appeal is being carried on this newsfeed it is on behalf of the worldwide Celtic Family and is not being organised by any website in particular and we ask you to help by adding it your own newsfeeds.

The greates fans in the world who support a club with charitable roots will make sure that charity gets its funds and that the name of Jinky is remembered

Hail Hail and thank you
