WIEGHORST KEEN TO STAY AT CELTIC

Celtic midfielder Morten Wieghorst is desperate to sign on again at Celtic but is realistic to realise that he may have to look elsewhere for first team football.

Having battled back after recovering from Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and be out for the best part of a year, the big likeable Dane is keen to stay at Celtic Park:

"Getting a new contract is my definitive goal, but be that with Celtic or another club, it matters less than just coming back.
"If Martin O'Neill decides to offer me a new contract, it should be because he believes in me, not just because I have been sick."

Wighorst's current contract with Celtic finishes in June and the player is free to discuss terms with other clubs now.

Ironically, Weighorst may be called on tomorrow to perform defensive duties in a severly depleted Celtic side.
