What a relief! Kennedy scan allays worst fears

Last updated : 30 November 2007 By Clydebuilt

More good news came through Timdoms letter box this morning as it was revealed that the injury John Kennedy sustained to his left knee is not as serious as feared. When he went down in obvious pain after landing awkwardly it was feared that he may have had a recurrence of the knee problems he has experienced ever since that horror tackle by Ganea in 2004.

But the club announced last night that the initial results were positive, although the full extent of the damage will be revealed today. Celtic said in a statement: "Initial results show that John has sustained damage to his lateral meniscus and the posterior lateral complex of the knee, which could mean the injury isn't as severe as first thought.

"An arthroscopic investigation will be carried out on John's knee and will confirm the extent of the damage. If the initial diagnosis is confirmed, John could possibly return to action within 12 weeks."

This is good news for all and we at Mon the Hoops wish John a swift and easy recovery.

All the best John

Yours in Celtic
