Weekend round up, rumours, and daft stuff

Last updated : 04 December 2006 By Jack Kennedy
Yet another great weekend for The Celts as we get a win at home against Aberdeen then sit with huge grins on our faces as Hearts get a draw and the Gers get beaten at Falkirk. The Celtic game was a dreary affair but the bhoys showed their spirit by getting the win and in the last Twenty minutes started to play some very good football.

Perhaps the most entertaining part of the weekend was listening to the boo boys at Falkirk and watching those Blue Rangers scarves being thrown onto the pitch. Paul Le Guen looks as if the Gers may have broken his spirit as the Rangers fans finally get the team they deserve.

More rumours of a dressing room bustup between Strachan and Riordan have been emerging but these are more likely to be because of a slow news week rather than being based on fact but if you know different feel free to let us know.

We are all looking forward to the Copenhagen game on Tuesday and Celtic can look forward being able to play without being under too much pressure, They will however be very aware that a group win will give us a slightly better draw for the next stage. Celtic fans are gearing up for the trip and even six quid a pint wont dampen our spirits.

signing rumours are still the favourtite topic on the internet messageboards this week and yesterday Aberdeens Russell Anderson was once more linked to the hoops. Anthony Stokes was high on the rumour list this week and was even subject to this weeks best conspiricy theory as fans reckoned he is not injured and had been told not to play for Falkirk as he will be going to Celtic in January. Danny Shittu of course was watched By Gordon Strachan and will be the bookies favourite to join Celtic.
