Marshall: Fans' Favourite
The result of this week's Voting Poll has been registered, thanks to all who took the time to vote.

The question asked who you would play in goals against Rangers on Saturday, between David Marshall and Magnus Hedman. David Marshall was the majority choice, with 56% of the votes.

David Marshall has been Celtic's number one since he was brought in against Barcelona in March. He is a young goalkeeper but some of the performances he has produced for Celtic have been unbelievable. Recently, though (and funnily enough, since making his Scotland debut), he has looked slightly shaky between the sticks.

Celtic have lost alot of goals this season, which has been unusual for a Martin O'Neill side. Obviously, Marshall has not been helped by the dodgy defending which we have witnessed, but has certainly been at fault for some goals scored against.

Marshall was left out of the team for last week's win over Kilmarnock. With Rab Douglas injured, Magnus Hedman stepped in. Hedman kept a clean sheet and saved a penalty, along with two other fine stops. It was Hedman's first game since his high profile blunders in Lyon last year, which cost us progression in the Champions League .

On Wednesday night, Scotland faced Sweden in an International friendly. Sweden won the game 4-1, and both Hedman and Marshall played in the game. Hedman looked the better of the two on the night, but Sweden outclassed Scotland in all areas of the field.

The Come On The Hoops readers have placed their confidence in David Marshall for Saturday's game. I believe Marshall is the best 'keeper we have at Celtic, and the rest last week, coupled with Hedman's good performance, will only do him good. He has had no competition since finding his place in the squad and players always play better when under pressure.

After Hedman's circus show last year, it is surely only a matter of time before we see another high profile blunder from him. He is a good goalkeeper but I do not feel as confident with him as I do with Marshall.

Only time will tell who Martin goes with on Saturday, but I am sure he is a better judge than all of us.
