VALGAEREN OUT FOR REST OF THE SEASON

Joos Valgaeren is set to miss the rest of the season following surgery for a hernia. Manager Martin O'Neill was obviously disappointed when he heard the news and had this to say:

" This is an absolutely massive disappointment for us. Since
Joos came to the club almost two years ago he has been terrific."

It now looks likely that Stephen Crainey could be in for a prolonged run in the team according to O'Neill:

"As an up and coming young Scot, Stephen Crainey received much praise for his performances on Sunday and hopefully he will continue to improve as time goes by.

"With Joos under the surgeon's knife for the hernia operation, we will need all the help we can get between now and the end of the season. Stephen will certainly have a part to play for us."
