UEFA are to award Celtic with a plaque, in recognision of the club's European Cup win in 1967.

The award is part of UEFA's "Champions Of Europe" season, which marks the 50th anniversary of the European Cup.

Celtic, and the other 20 clubs who have won the big cup will be awarded the plaque at a ceremony this Friday. Lisbon Lion John Clark will travel with Chief Executive Peter Lawell to pick up the award.

Jock Stein will also be remembered with a special award which will be made later in the season at Celtic Park.

As we all know, Celtic were the first British side to win the European Cup, in Lisbon, back in 1967. The side now known as the Lisbon Lions defeated Inter Milan 2-1.
