TV OR NOT TV THAT IS THE QUESTION

So, the SPL are about to release the details of their new sooper dooper television channel that is going to be the saviour of Scottish Football.

Apparently they are confident they can get 200,000
subscribers at 8 quid a head to make the channel
a worthwhile going concern, despite the recent
downturn in the fortunes of digital tv companies - namely
ITV Digital.

Those who run they SPL are taking one almighty gamble on this
and if it doesn't work then the ramifications could be lethal for the
smaller clubs in the league.

In a worse case scenario we could see clubs going to the wall if the TV money suddenly dries up and even the Old Firm would feel the need to readjust their finances accordingly..

The eyes of Europe will be on the SPL to see if this experiment works
and failure would make a league, that is already ridiculed, look even
more ridiculous.
