It has been revealed today that former Barcelona and World Cup winner Lilian Thuram has attracted interest from "Scottish Clubs" stating to French media "There are a number of things that could interest me, most notably going to PSG or maybe another club too. I don't know what I'm going to do in the coming days, so I can't really say.

"We'll see. Going to a club outside France is also being discussed. There are clubs in Italy, England and even Scotland that could be interested."

This sounds more like "I am 36 and past my best so I have had my agent ring round the usual suspects trying to secure me one final pay day". Either that or he is going to the Govan retirement home to park his zimmer alongside David Weary's.

It has also been revealed that Aiden McGeady has been the subject of a 9M bid from Roy Keane's Sunderland. In a deal though to include one-time Celtic target Anthony Stokes as a sweetener this is a tempting offer that we would expect Aiden to say "thanks but no thanks to".

And finally it has been revealed that Artur Boruc left a trail of destruction after the penalty kick drama that led to Poland dropping two points against Austria. Poland National Manager Leo Beenhakker leapt to the defence of his keeper saying "The lad had just become a father to a son so before the incident he was still highly emotional.

"He has just left our camp to travel to Warsaw so that he can cuddle his wife and baby. He'll be back on Monday and he'll be ready just like the rest of the team. It was pandemonium in the tunnel and inside the stadium after the match".

Good luck to the Holy Goalie tonight. If Poland can beat Croatia and Austria can pull off a miracle against Germany then Poland would progress. Best of Luck Artur.

Yours in Celtic
