Following a Uefa meeting, prior to the Champions League final in Glasgow two weeks ago, Celtic have, again, expressed an interest in being invited to join the G14 group of clubs. An invitation to join this elite group would certainly give the club a bigger say in how the future of Europeean club football evolves and may go a long way to ensuring Celtic are involved in any future European League.

Following a meeting in midweek it now looks as though some sort of peace has broken out between the SPL clubs. This uneasy peace could pave the way for a new television deal to be sorted out with the BBC looking the strongest contenders to snap up the vacant contract.

PLAYERS

Morten weighorst and Tom Boyd have both been offered new one year deals by Celtic. In an unexpected move manager Martin O'Neill has expressed a wish to keep both players at the club for next season.
