Ths CIS cup semi - final defeat to Rangers still rankles with Celtic's Bulgarian youngster Stan Petrov and this Sunday he is out to avenge that defeat:

"I don't know about the other boys but for me this game is definitely about revenge.

"Last year I missed out on the Treble because of injury so I wanted badly to be a part of it this time around.

"That's what I was thinking before the CIS Cup semi-final and I think everybody expected us to win that game because we had won five times in a row against them.

"So to lose the semi-final - when everybody expected another treble - was very disappointing.

"That's why we will all be up for a bit of revenge this Sunday.

"Everybody is looking forward to this match, not just the players but also the supporters, because it's such an important game.

"If we win it then we will be really clear in terms of the championship and if Rangers win it they'll feel they are back in the race with another seven games still to go."

Petrov, who started the season in storming fashion, seemed to lose his way a bit over the winter months, but in the last few weeks his early season form seems to have returned - much to the delight of the Celtic supporters.
