Signing targets update

West Bromich Albion's Jason Koumas has stated that if he will only sign for Celtic if the Hawthorns fail to secure promotion. Speaking of Celtic's interest the player said, "I've known about Celtic's interest, but I'm happy here," said Koumas. "If we go up I don't need a move."

So lets hope they get beaten by Derby this weekend then eh Bhoys? Lets start the Jason Koumas Derby CSC!

Although if the player would rather tough it out at the business end of the Premiership than play Champions League football then you have to question his mentality. Either that or he is issuing a cry of "come and get me" to potential top-flight suitors.

Celtic also handed a trial to Swiss midfielder David Degen. Gordon Strachan has given the former Basle player now based in Germany with Borussia Monchengladbach a week to impress.

Branded a disruptive influence by Monchengladbach Coach Jos Luhukay, Degen is looking to revive his career although all may not be well with the young player. Luhukay said, "He was lacking concentration. His time has run out. He can go, if the conditions are correct."

Degen spoke very highly of the welcome handed out to him, especially the fact that the Hoops Boss took time out of his recuperation from hip replacement surgery to come and meet with him. He said, "The welcome I got from Celtic was extraordinary. The manager is injured, but he still came to see me to say hello. This felt outstanding. I'd never been treated that way before. Celtic is a massive club with a great tradition and, of course, I'm interested in joining."

You had better get rid of that "disruptive influence" then Sonny-Jim!

Although one managers Eyal Berkowitz is another managers Lubo Moravcik!

Yours in Celtic
