Show Your Support For Neil Lennon

Last updated : 01 December 2004 By Kevin Smith

Celtic supporters all around the world have been asked to unite in support of Neil Lennon, who has been subjected to racial and sectarian abuse since his arrival in Glasgow four years ago.

A website has been set up, and Celtic fans have been asked to visit the site, and sign the petition in support of Lennon.
CLICK HERE to visit the site.

Shown below are some details from the fans who made the site.

In light of the continuing abuse of Neil Lennon, we have decided that enough is enough. Whilst we reserve the right of any football supporter to shout at Neil Lennon because he is a threat to their football team winning a game, we take issue with the people who make a concerted effort to boo and abuse him for 90 minutes because he happens to be an Irish Catholic.

Neil Lennon has been the victim of a hate-campaign since he signed for Celtic in December 2000 and we find it incredible that the media have done very little to highlight this, never mind stamp it out. We call upon all decent minded people to support this campaign and help us eradicate the campaign of hate towards Neil Lennon.

We intend to show our support for Neil by bring banners and posters of support to the Celtic v Hibernian match on Dec 4th 2004, we urge all Celtic supporters to do the same.

In the meantime, show your support by signing our online petition at www.wesupportneillennon.com

We must show Neil that he will never walk alone!
