Thomas RogneThomas Rogne has come back early from holidays to get fit before the real pre-season training starts in earnest. The Norwegian defender has only played in four games since his arrival in January from Stabaek in January with injuries limiting his opportunities to impress. He is keen to show Neil Lennon what he can do now that he has moved into the first team squad. Rogne said: "I've been training very hard over the last three weeks. That's why I'm back early. For me it's important to stay injury free and play as much as I can - that's the way to develop. I'm very happy with the new manager. I think he's a fantastic manager, a great person as well and the right guy for the job. He brings out the best in every player. That's the most important thing. He's a great motivator. He knows Scottish football as well and all of the players respect him. I haven't spoke to him yet about the new season, but we have a good relationship. I've played under him in the reserve team as well."

With Sol Campbell rumoured to be interested in a move to Parkhead, Rogne sees such an arrival as an opportunity to continue his football education. The young defender said: "I can learn a lot from him. He's played a bunch of very important and big games. He has a lot of experience of course and that's a good thing. I think we showed we have a great group of players by winning eight matches in a row at the end of the season. We also want a European run - that's very important for the club."
