Riordan is at it again! Deek Brings the Union into Fine Dispute

Derek Riordan will return to Lennoxtown today to have a sit down meeting to discuss his 'Celtic future' today. It has been revealed that the former Hibernian man has asked for representation from the Player's Union after he refused to pay a £1000 fine from the Club.

Riordan, who is currently on compassionate leave failed to attend a Fans Rally recently and was fined accordingly by the Club. We understand that the Player has called in Union representation to mediate on this matter with the Club.

This must be the last straw for the player who has not been shy in criticising the club due to his lack of first team action. It is hard not to have an element of sympathy for Deek, but running to the press in the first instance is not the best way to solve your problems, and the fans who did support you over the manager may feel that doing this when the club is on the middle of a mini crisis.

We wish you the best for the future Derek, it is a shame things never worked out for you at Celtic but keep your toys in your pram eh?

Yours in Celtic
