 Morten Rasmussen is planning to stay with Mainz for the rest of the season with no thought of heading back to Glasgow this month. The Danish international joined Mainz on a season-long loan last August, but has struggled for playing time with the Bundesliga club. Mainz had suggested they would look to cut short the striker's loan deal after ruling out a permanent deal at the end of the campaign. However, Rasmussen is determined to fight for his place at Mainz and is not exploring the prospect of joining another club on loan. He said: "I have not asked to leave Mainz and my agent is not looking for a new club. I will continue to stay here, work hard in training and fight for my place in the first team." |
