The word coming from Ibrox today is that yesterdays behaviour will not be tolerated due to the fact that it has started to hit the club in the pocket by lowering the share prices.
The spotlight was on the Rangers fans yesterday and they blew it big time. In front of Church and community leaders they showed that Bigotry and Sectarianism is alive and well at Rangers F.C and that racism also has a huge foothold amongst the majority of the support.
No more excuses about this behaviour coming from only a few fans, TV pictures clearly showed that the bad behaviour was observed from the majority of supporters. Rangers F.C have only themselves to blame as it is the club themselves that continues to encourage "martial" music at Ibrox and indeed during the week played the Dambusters theme just as their own German Keeper ran onto the park and once again showed the world they are living in the past.
Celtic F.C immediately praised their support for their good behaviour and in a statement on the official Celtic website they pointedly omitted any mention of the Rangers fans who had once again brought shame to the country.
Perhaps the saddest thing that has came out from this is the fact that Rangers F.C are said to be angry at yesterdays behaviour. Not because it was sectarian and brought shame to the club but simply because it looks is if it may lower the share price. Says it all doesn't it?
