Pilot Strike affects TAP Operation

The Civil Aviation Pilots’ Union (SPAC) has scheduled strike action on all national commercial aviation companies which includes TAP for October 23 (from 2pm to 5pm), October 25 (24hrs) and October 27 (from 4am to 5pm). The reasons behind such action are the result of national legislation relating to pilot retirement ages and conditions, a matter that is the exclusive responsibility of the government.

These stoppages will inevitably lead to problems for the company, seriously affecting the normality of its operations and in particular passengers with trips booked during the periods in question.

TAP is making every possible effort to minimize the predictable consequences of this strike action. It is asking passengers to contact its booking services by calling 707205700 to obtain information on the status of their flights and alter the same to dates that do no coincide with the strikes in cases in which this proves to be more convenient.

Hope you are not flying with this company if you are planning to head out!

If you are contact them directly as they are not contacting passengers to inform them of the cancellation!

Yours in Celtic
