PETTA SIGNS ON FOR ANOTHER THREE YEARS

Celtic winger Bobby Petta has signed a new three year deal at Celtic that will see him remain at the club until 1995. The Dutch wide man had been keen to put pen to paper but with French aces Bordeuax hovering in the background there was some speculation as to where Petta would be playing his football next season.

In the end Petta chose to stay at Celtic and remain a valuable part of Martin O'Neills squad. Petta's form this season has been affected by injury but in recent weeks his fitness has started to improve and he may be pushing for a place in the starting line up for Sunday's old firm game at Ibrox.
