PETTA LOOKING TO KICKSTART SEASON

Celtic winger Bobby Petta is keen to get back into action having shaken off his most recent injury.

It has been a poor season for Petta following the great year he had last term and it would be ideal if he could come back now and give Celtic that extra wee lift needed going into the final stages of the season.

Certainly, Petta feels he is ready to push his way back into Martin O'Neill's plans:

"I could be fit and available for selection for next weekend, but it might be difficult to get back in the team.
Both Steve Guppy and Alan Thompson have been playing well on the left and the team have been winning.
From a personal point of view I'd like to get a few games under my belt before the season finishes.

"I signed a new contract last month which was a bit of security for myself and my wife and now I'm desperate to get back playing again."

Petta endeared himself to the Celtic fans with some great performances agains old firm rivals Rangers last season, and with an old firm double coming up it would be the ideal time for Petta to show what he is made of again.
