Want away Celtic star has had Four offers from other sources according to his new agent Tony McGill. He has however been preparing the way for a Petrov U-turn as it becomes increasingly clear that no offers have been arriving from the bigger clubs and Petrov has been getting a good natured ribbing from his fellow Celtic players about which burger van will put in the best offer. Petrov remains popular with his fellow Parkhead Professionals and the Celtic support have mainly wished him luck in his quest for a new team and the consensus amongst most of the fans that he has given the club a good seven years and should be allowed to leave with as much dignity as possible. We spoke to Glasgow businessman and lifelong Celtic supporter Eddie Caird who is a friend of the player and he said today " Stan knows all about the feelings of the supporters, he knows he is well liked but he also knows that a lot of the support have said that he should not be allowed to wear the hoops again after he let it be known that he wanted to leave. He is aware that most of the Celtic support see it as an honour to play for the club and that he is now being perceived as not wanting to play for the Jersey." Petrov is worried that no big clubs have came in from him and it is alleged that he bacame extremely upset when a thread on a Celtic supporters club website that he visits came to the conclusion that he was far from world class and failed to come up to standard in most of Celtics European campaigns.
