Burnley manager Owen Coyle may or may not have been offered the Celtic job a few short weeks ago but one thing is for certain - he's still a Celtic supporter and he'll be travelling to Celtic Park as a fan during the coming season.

In Coyle's opinion Celtic have made the right decision in appointing Tony Mowbray as the new boss. "Celtic have got themselves a fantastic man for the manager's job." he said. "I'll be coming up to watch his team play when the new season begins because I've never hidden the fact I'm a Celtic supporter. I want the best for Celtic and Tony and I firmly believe he'll deliver for the club.
"So far as I'm concerned Tony's everything a manager should be." the Gorbals bhoy told the Daily Record. "Players want to play for him because he's straightforward and honest. I know people are trying to question Tony by suggesting his reputation outweighs what he's actually achieved in the game, but that's wrong."
"His West Brom side didn't deserve to finish bottom of the league last season." said Coyle. "Because their football was better than their standing implied. This guy knows the game inside-out and so far as I'm concerned Celtic have a man who also understands the emotional pull of the club."
