O'Neill Speaks Out

Martin O'Neill has been speaking out today, reassuring certain Bhoys that new contracts will be negotiated soon.

The press have been building up a story over the last couple of weeks that John Hartson is unhappy as his contract expires at the end of the season. O'Neill said today, "I will be discussing things with his agent in the next few days. Players want to know what's happening, but these things can drag on."

As usual, there is no hint in panic from the Celtic boss, and this was still the case with regards to other players, whose currenct contracts also expire soon. "Neil Lennon is possibly different to others in he might not be bothered about this. But we will be speaking to his agent as well and Bobo's when he comes back from international duty," said O'Neill.

"Jackie McNamara and Robert Douglas are in the same position, so we will be speaking to them as well in the coming weeks. We want it sorted out as soon as possible."

But the big question remains; will all this lack of contract negotiations be seen as a reason for a broken crest and a 'Celtic In Crisis' headline in tomorrow's Daily Record?
