O'NEILL SAVAGED BY LEICESTER STAR

Robbie Savage has been extoling the virtues of his former boss Martin O'Neill.
Speaking after Celtic's 1-0 win at Fibert street the blonde welshman praised O'Neill to the hilt:

"He is obviously one of the best managers in the game - certainly the best I've played under. He was always going to move on and he turned down a few jobs to stay with us but it was inevitable he would move on.
"He has done fantastically well and I think he will be one of the best managers the game has ever had.
"Harry (Dave Bassett) tried his best for us but he couldn't save us and now Micky (Adams) has got a great chance with this club and I think he will do well."
Savage, though, believes that his former boss will once again be in the running for the Manchester United job when Ferguson's contract expires with The Reds in 2005.
"I think it is inevitable that when the Manchester United job comes up again he will be favourite.
"I think he is every bit as important as Henrik Larsson is to Celtic. He is one of the best managers in Europe,"

Savage has been continually linked with a move to Celtic throughout the season but so far no deal has been struck to bring him to Celtic Park.
