O'NEILL PAYS TRIBUTE TO GALLANT HONEST MEN

Celtic boss Martin O'neill was fullsome in his praise for plucky Ayr United following yesterday's scottish cup final.
The little Ayrshire side certainly gave Celtic a run for their money and O'neill could not hide his admiration for them following the game:

"All the accolades must go to Ayr, and I knew they would make it tough for us as they are a good side. They know how to defend, when to break and how to have a go. It may sound patronising that but they have been exceptional this season in the cup competitions. "

"Ayr were in good heart despite losing at Hampden last week. They didn't deserve to lose 4-0 to Rangers and they didn't deserve to lose 3-0 to us."

Celtic will now take on Rangers in the Scottish cup final following the Ibrox team's win over Partick Thistle today.
