One Final Trip To Paradise - Tommy's Final Journey.

The final Journey of Tommy Burns will be broadcast on Channel 67 today for those who cannot manage to make it along to pay their last respects. The following is from the official site:

Former Celt Jim Craig will introduce proceedings shortly before 12noon on Tuesday, May 20 and the first event will be Billy Stark's eulogy from St Mary's Church in the Calton. That will be followed by Mass at 12.15pm and then the return home to Paradise at around 1.45pm.

This service will be made available to all Channel 67 subscribers across the world and will allow the club's worldwide fanbase to pay their own respects to Tommy.

For those who are able to make the trip, here is the route the courtege will take. The funeral party will leave St Mary's Church, Abercromby Street, Calton, on Tuesday, May 20 at approximately 1:45pm to pass the front of Celtic Park before heading to Linn Cemetery.

The route will be Abercromby Street - Gallowgate - Holywell Street - Janefield Street - front of Stadium - London Road - Dunn Street - Newhall Street - The Green - Kings Drive - Ballater Street - Laurieston Road - Cathcart Road - Aikenhead Road - Carmunnock Road - Lainshaw Drive to Linn Cemetery.

So long Tommy, you will never be forgotten.

From red hair to grey, from healthy to ailing in good times and in bad you served our club in a manner befitting the ethos of this great establishment. You always done it with a smile on your face and joy in your heart, just happy to be that wee Bhoy from Soho St who got to play for the team he loved.
