Neil Lennon will not take chances

Neil Lennon knows all about the poor form Hibs have delivered over recent weeks but will take no notice as he takes his side through to Easter Road. While he heads through on the back of a 3-1 win in his first game as interim manager and as favourites he knows that it is dangerous to take chance with a cornered animal near it’s nest. Lennon said: "We won't be taking them lightly, that's for sure. They had a great start to the season, their form has dipped but every team I played at Easter Road it was too close to call. There were some great games, very open games and I expect it to be no different on Sunday. We have a detailed look at Hibs this week and have been looking at areas where we can hurt them and capitalise upon. The boys will be well prepared for Sunday, they will know what to expect.” Lennon and his assistant Johan Mjallby will want to continue to impress the Celtic board as they hope to secure the long term tenure in charge. However, speculation continues as to who could come in at the end of the season with Mark Hughes and former Celtic manager Martin O'Neill being mentioned. However, Lennon said: "I am totally fine with it. The club are duty-bound to be looking elsewhere if they are doing that. I can't help the speculation about my position or the future, that comes with being at a club like Celtic. I just deal in the facts and the reality and I know in my mind what I have to do between now and May. I have only thought this week about the Hibs game.”

Defender Jos Hooiveld has had another setback and will not be considered for the game. The Dutchman recovered from a hamstring injury and then a virus but then a muscle spasm in his leg keeps him out. Long-term injured Diomansy Kamara, Glenn Loovens, Thomas Rogne, Niall McGinn, Koki Mizuno and Shaun Maloney are all still out.
