Naka Responds to Agricultural Challenges in True Style

Celtic Manager Gordon Strachan was delighted last night that Shunsuke Nakamura answered the heavy challenges of the Farmers of Ayrshire in the best possible fashion during Celtic's 3-1 defeat of the tough tackling hackers of Kilmarnock.

Nakamura had suffered plenty of hard tackles without any protection whatsoever in the first half, and when he let his frustration get to him and ended up getting booked himself! What was his crime? Simply to as the official for more protection!

The Japanese Genius got on with his game and when he was presented with the chance to put Killie to the sword with one of his trademark free kicks he duly obliged before getting substituted at half time, probably for his own protection.

Naka must love playing Killie. His Free kick conversion rate against the Killie farmers must be close to 100%!

Strachan said: "There was a good chance of Naka being injured and he was hobbling. He was very brave and it's crazy in this day and age that Nakamura is the one that gets booked.

"He reacted by saying he got tackled and he pointed four times. The referee obviously booked him because it was only three. If he is going to complain about tackles then he has to get it right.

"I told the players not to lose their focus and to get on with it and to win the game for us.

"What Naka did was put the ball down and put it in the back of the net. That's the best way of answering anybody who wants to take you out of the game.

If anyone is qualified to comment on players answering other players who try to take you out of the game it is Gordon Strachan.

Yours in Celtic
