Naka Doubtful for Trip to Sheep

Shunsuke Nakamura is doubtful for this Saturday's trip to Aberdeen that could see Celtic go four points clear at the top of the SPL. The midfielder is struggling with a recurrence of the knee problem that has bothered the player for the last few seasons.

Nakamura, however, is hoping that he will be available for selection, stating; "Obviously, we have a very important game coming up against Aberdeen so I hope I'll be okay to play.

Naka was quick to point out the importance of the match; "We know that they are a difficult opponent but it's a game we really need to win."

Whilst he is currently a doubt for the match it would appear that the player is ready to play should the problem subside "I've been in some discomfort and my right abductor is pretty sore. We'll see how it goes this week."

Meanwhile Naka was still unwilling to be drawn on his future, echoing the comments he made last month; "Maybe I will stay here, maybe I will move to another league or maybe I will go back to Japan,"

That notwithstanding Naka was quick to swear his allegiance to the cause, stating that he is focussed on making this season a success at Celtic, regardless of whether or not this is to be his last at the Club.

"I want to concentrate only on Celtic for the moment." He said

I am only interested in winning the title for the fourth season in a row.

That is more important to me than my future"

Lets hope that Naka is available for the rest of the run in, so that we can enjoy his unique talents before he heads to pastures new.

Yours in Celtic
