MJALLBY FEARED CUP FINAL BAN

Johan Mjallby feared he would miss out on the Scottish cup final after he was red carded at Celtic Park on Sunday.

Mjallby, arguably Celtic's best player this season, prepared himself for the worst as he walked off the Parkhead turf but later he found out that he would still be able to play in the final:

"I was very worried as I left the pitch. I thought I was going to miss the Cup Final.

"All I could think about was how many yellow cards I had received in the season and what my points total was.Thankfully I discovered I was OK for the final and that is important to me."

Meanwhile, Celtic forward John Hartson is said to be "disgusted" at his red card and is considering an appeal against any ban. Hartson was involved in the last minute melee at Celtic Park but seemed to be trying to keep the peace rather than get involved in any fighting.

Hartson too will be available for the cup final but will miss out on the first game of next season.
