McLEOD CALLS FOR SFA SHAKE - UP

Celtic chief executive Ian McLeod has called for a wide ranging review of the practices and procedures of Scottish football's governing body.
In a statement, that is unlikely to earn him any friends over at Hampden Park, McLeod spoke of the need for an independant review:

'We have been involved in a few circumstances recently with the SFA,' said
McLeod, after Celtic failed with appeals on both Balde and Alan Thompson but
won promise of a disciplinary review following recomandmendations from Lord
McCluskey.

'Before those cases there were one or two other situations, like moving the
Scottish Cup tie with Alloa to Brockville and the quarter-final to a Monday
night,' added McLeod.

'Maybe the SFA should be putting all their procedures up for independent
review. That would show an enlightened approach and there could be an
independent audit of their workings.

'The review could then be discussed in open forum. I am not sure if they
will want to go as far as that, to be honest, but it is worthy of debate.'

Celtic supporters have often accused the SFA of being biased against the Parkhead club and it now looks like that mindset has reached the boardroom at Celtic Park.

We await the SFA's response with interest.
