McGeady Attacked by Scotland's Shame

Celtic stars Aiden McGeady and two-goal Scott McDonald were attacked by a group of Rangers fans in the early Hours of Sunday Morning. The pair were targeted by the Neds as they were leaving a Glasgow Nightclub at around 3:00AM.

It is reported that Aiden was the centre of the mobs hatred with them squaring up to him and shouting"If you hate Aiden McGeady clap your hands" in his face. A witness said, "They were right in his face and very threatening."

Aiden was then assaulted by the group in a fracas that was believed to have been over in minutes. The incident is said to have taken place outside Bamboo.

A Celtic spokesman said: "The players made the club aware of this incident on Monday. Aiden has made it clear he'd be more than happy to co-operate with the police as both players were undoubtedly the aggrieved parties in this unfortunate incident."

Rangers Fans are always the first to try and point the finger at Celtic fans for their behavior after the shame game of May 1999 when many fans lost their heads and shameful scenes were witnessed, but this is a new low even for Scotland's Shame. It would appear that the self proclaimed veil of dignity has begun to slip even further.

With the news that a Celtic fan was murdered in the Govan area on Sunday night in what the Police believe was related to the game on Sunday these really are worrying times for Celtic fans. Our members on this forum report getting attacked on the way home from the game on Sunday and it would appear that the wearing of Green and White is no longer a safe activity in Glasgow as Scotland's Shame continue to unravel and explode.

God knows what will happen if their football capitulation continues to the end of the season!

Yours in Celtic
