The battle cries have been forthcoming from down Parkhead way with both Georgious Samaras and Aiden McGeady stating that not only will Celtic require maximum points out of the remaining league fixtures but that the team is ready and willing to get them.

Samaras remains unfazed in his search for domestic honours and has stated that Celtic still have what it takes to remain champions. "We are under pressure now but we must show a lot of character and focus on the games,"
If we win all the games I think we have a good chance. All we can do is work hard and try to have a 100 per cent record in the last eight games.
At the end of that, we will see what we get if we manage to win the games. If we do get eight wins, then we have done the job we set for ourselves at this point and the rest will take care of itself."

McGeady has said that the Celtic supporters can assist the team to the top of the league and believes that anything is possible with teh backing of the fans, "The fans were brilliant on Saturday and we need that support for the rest of the season. We need them to get right behind us for the rest of the games and I know they will do that.
Everyone at the club needs to be together. The players don't believe the league race is over and we need the fans to look at things that way as well.
There are still a lot of points to play for, so nothing is over yet. Saturday's result didn't help us, but there's still a lot to play for and we now have to look at the remaining eight games and try to take maximum points from them.

"Having two home games against Rangers gives us the chance to claw back some of the points and those matches are going to be massive now.
If we can win the first one, it will allow us to close the gap and give us a real boost going into the next one. Those games are so vital for us now and we'll do everything we can to take full points."

Meanwhile now that the Ibrox Club has restored some of the respect that they have lost over the years it would appear that MrMurray has decided to speak to the press for a change. The want-away Chairman has become quite vocal in recent times and is now declaring to spend money in the summer. He only talks when he's winning...talks when he's winning!

One person who will help bankroll this so-called spending spree is former player Alan Hutton. The former MrGovan has spoken out of his treatment by an un-named Rangers Director who convinced him to leave Ibrox and thus earn the club a massive windfall. Speaking to a Sunday broadsheet Alan said "It got to the stage where they were saying, 'Just go'. I'll not tell you who but they were saying, 'Go down, you'll enjoy it. Yeah, you can stay at Rangers and you'll win things and play in the Champions League every year, but are you going to progress as a player? To do that you have to go down south'."
