Johan Mjallby believes Shaun Maloney will be like a new signing when he finally makes his comeback. Maloney has been out of action for the Hoops since November thanks to an ankle injury. It looks like the game against Inverness at the weekend will be a bit too soon for him to be involved, Mjallby says Maloney is on the comeback trail and will soon be back to his best. The Celtic assistant boss manager: "It might be a wee bit too early for him. You need to remember, he's been out for a long time but the good thing is he's back in training, he can train 100% and I think he will need a couple more hard training sessions with the squad and then he will be back to his best. Before his injury, he was arguably one of our best players of the season so far so it was a big blow at the time when he got injured. But now he's back and he's like a new signing."

Mjallby wants to see a positive reaction to losing out to Rangers in the  Co-operative Insurance Cup final when they travel to the Highlands on Saturday. The side have to focus on league business as they remain in pole position to lift the title ahead of Rangers, who sit two points behind with a game in hand. Mjallby went on: "We all want a good showing. The most important thing is the three points. It's a difficult game, it's always hard when you travel up to Inverness. We know what we have to do. It doesn't matter who we play from now on, we need to go out and, even if we don't play well, grind out the results. It's all about the three points."
