Loovens Loves the Drama as Boruc Asks Zaluska for a Favour

Glenn Loovens, for a player who has had little tension to deal with in his playing career seems to thrive on the pressure that he and his team mates are under to retain the SPl.

The affable Dutchman, whose only comparable experience of top flight pressure was the FA Cup Final recently with Cardiff, has stated that Celtic have to deal with the pressure that lies ahead.

"Sometimes, when I've been at home and have thought about the title race, I have got a weird feeling inside of me and I just want to get on with it," Loovens told Celtic View.

"I've spoken to supporters who have said that they have been nervous and I get those feelings as well, but it's just a part of the build-up to games when this much is at stake.

"Every football player wants to win trophies and you have to try and enjoy these pressures."

He added: "The big difference at Celtic from a lot of other clubs is that you are expected to win trophies, but it's a good feeling.

"It's something that every player dreams of playing for.

"The supporters have been brilliant and we will need their support this weekend. We want to do this for them as well.

"It's a home game and we would like to give them something to remember.

"We are competing at a high level and we have to deal with the pressure that goes with it, but I think you also have to enjoy it, rather than let it make you nervous."

Meanwhile on Planet Artur, Scotlands favourite goalkeeper has today suggested that Lukasz Zaluska could become an instant hit with the Parkhead faithful, should he manage to shut out Rangers when the Forces of Darkness come calling on Sunday.

Boruc said: "He is about to become a Celtic player and he has a big chance to introduce himself to our supporters next weekend.

"I spoke to him on Sunday night. He is a great goalkeeper and I feel comfortable that he will be playing for United on Sunday.

"To get a result against Rangers would be beautiful for Lukasz, for his current club and for Celtic. Overall, I'm still hopeful that we're going to win the league.

"Rangers will find it tough against Dundee United. They are still fighting for a European place and that could make a difference. United need a point and we hope they get it."

So avoiding all possible cliches about Lukasz having a point to prove, lets just hope that he and his United team mates can silence the Orcs. I reckon it will be the first time every that I will be supporting a team playing in an orange jersey!

Could we see a bit of Karma for the 'tangerine' strip a few years ago? Heres hoping!

Yours in Celtic
