Lewandowski Tries to Talk Himself into Celtic Deal

Polish Midfielder-cum- defender Mariusz Lewandowski has 'revealed' that he is keen on joining up with international team mate Artur Boruc at Celtic. The Shakhtar Donetsk player has stated that his agent is in talks with Celtic to secure his services.

"I am on holiday just now, but there are people dealing with this situation that I trust. "Celtic are a big club and play regularly in the Champions League, so it would be a good place to play my football.

At least this story has quotes attributed to it, but it does reek of a player trying to sign for a particular club rather than the club trying to sign the player. The fact that this player has many quotes attributed to him "looking for a change" may underline the assertion that the player is trying to talk himself into a new club.

In other news it would appear that Celtic misfit and trainee mascot Thomas Gravesen will be returning to Parkhead this summer. The mental Danish Midfielder has one year left to run of his rather expensive 3 year deal.

I would be very surprised if Tommy is still a Celtic player on September 1st this year; if a new club does not come in for him then I am sure he will be convinced that his future lies elsewhere.

Yours in Celtic
