LENNON CLEARED - HARTSON IN TROUBLE

It now looks as though no action will be taken against Neil Lennon for "Inciting" the crowd at last night's game at Pittodrie.

Martin O'Neill had been supportive of his player after the alleged incident and also hit out at some of the treatment his players have been receiving:

"Neil Lennon and John Robertson were called in to the referee's
room because the police deemed Neil was, in his celebratory mood, inciting
the crowd.

"But I don't think George Douglas thought it was particularly serious."

"There was a lot of celebrating last time with Aberdeen who
took a long time celebrating. So, if someone can come in and shout, yeah,
and be delighted to win, as we all were, well I'm inclined to take Neil
Lennon's side in this one.

"He gets incessantly booed up here. I'm never sure what he has actually done
at Aberdeen to incite this. I can understand it at Rangers.

"But, then again, it is boo time for some of our players.

"I told Neil when he came up here, I warned him, but he still wanted to
come. He has got to get on with it."

John Hartson, on the other hand, is looking at a fine and a suspension for aiming a kick at a prone Aberdeen defender in the closing minutes of the game. Celtic boss Martin O'Neill is waiting to see the video evidence before he speaks to Hartson:

"I didn't really see the incident, so I'll reserve as much Judgement as possible until I get a chance to do so. If it is the case that it merited a straight red card then obviously he will deserve the punishment he gets and will be fimed by the club"

Hartson misses saturday's league clash with the Dons and will also sit out the semi final of the cup.
