A tenth minute goal from John Hartson gave Celtic a win in this friendly game at Filbert street last night in front of a 17,000 crowd who turned up to see the last game ever at Leicester's old home.

There were 7000 travelling Celtic fans in the crowd and they didn't have long to wait for something to cheer as Celtic took the lead in the tenth minute when an

excellent cross from Crainey was headed home by Big Bad John Hartson.

After that Celtic never really looked like losing the game and both sides used the game to give their fringe players and youngsters a run out. Celtic made eight second half substitutions and the closest Leicester came to scoring was a shot near the end which hit the bar.

Martin O'neill received a rousing reception both before the game and at the end and he gave an impromptu post match speech in which he thanked the Leicester fans for their support over the years and wished them well in their new ground.

The undoubted stars of the night though were the huge Celtic following who sang from start to finish and created a great atmosphere for what was a nothing game.
