Celtic Chief Executive Peter "The Sharp Suited Man" Lawwell has thanked the Celtic support as the drop in sales 'foreseen' by many a pundit this season did not materialise eh Hugh?

It was widely reported by many pundits during the season that Celtic fans would vote with their feet, regardless of whether or not the Ginger Genius delivered 3-in-a-row, due to the standard of football that was apparent in Celtic's early season form but this, strangely enough did not come to fruition as the response ahead of Friday's deadline have been as quick as normal.

Peter Lawwell had this to say, "On behalf of everyone at Celtic, I would like to thank all our supporters for the magnificent backing which we have received this season.

"Gordon, his backroom team and the players gave everything they could to retain the title and their huge effort in winning the last seven consecutive league matches has made this SPL victory a phenomenal achievement.

"Gordon deserves immense credit for steering Celtic to three-in-a-row, an achievement which cannot be underestimated.

"As we look forward to next season, I would also like to thank you the supporters for your continued commitment. Due to the success which we have enjoyed in recent years, we were delighted to be able to freeze our adult season book prices for the forthcoming season and bring in a great new pricing structure for children.

"The response to this has been excellent, with thousands of fans again rushing to take their seat at Celtic Park. With a Championship flag to unfurl and guaranteed Champions League football to enjoy, Celtic Park really is the place to be next season and on behalf of the Celtic Board, the Manager and the team, I would like to thank you for your continued support."

You are welcome Peter, now get out on business and sign us the very best of players!

Yours in Celtic
