They're maybe too busy brainstorming, devising schemes to deflect negative stories concerning the continued racism of the rangers supporters but Media House really should have someone on full time 'Chairman Watch'. They've taken their eyes off him for a moment and before you know it he's spouting off to Chick Young over more succelent lamb.

Murray's full interview will be broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound programme later tonight but there have been some interesting snippets released already none more so than the news that Murray has said that John Reid should, to paraphrase, 'shut the f*ck up'.

Following the Rangers chairman's recent gaffe when he labelled fans of both Dundee clubs as sectarian bigots it seems that Sir David Murray has again bypassed the PR filter to attack Dr John Reid because Dr Reid called the racist Rangers support 'racist'.

The Celtic chairman spoke out about the vile Famine Song and, in line with prominent anti-racist organisations and ministers from the Irish, Scottish, British and European parliaments, he derided the racist fans of Rangers for singing it. Mr Murray and Rangers FC themselves have never condemned the racist bile from their supporters.

Mr Murray's message to Dr Reid was:

"I find it strange that a man could become a member of parliament representing a whole broad church of people from Airdrie and Shotts but then can also be the chairman of a football club and come out with a different slant."

Well, wtf does that mean?

Is he suggesting John Reid accepts racism within Scottish football and Scottish society?

Is he suggesting that he should follow Sir David's example and just ignore it?

What's the different slant he's talking about and what's it different from?

Is he suggesting that the followers of Celtic Football Club are not a broad church of people?

Is he suggesting that some people from Airdrie and Shotts are racist and deserve representation also?

Is he saying that John Reid should still be looking after the interests of all of his former constituents and not just those who support Celtic?

He also says:

"We are in a society in Scotland where every point and every word is picked up by everybody and he should be very careful with some of the chat."

Aye, we know huns don't do irony but if they did...........

The Celtic chairman has already issued a swift response:

"We all want to be a little indulgent to David on his 20th anniversary, but I'm not entirely sure of the points he is trying to make regarding inference and innuendo.

"In any case, no one should be under any illusion that in defending the welfare of Celtic and our supporters I will continue to comment when appropriate, without fear or favour.

"I know we all welcome David's respect for Celtic's traditions and we congratulate him on 20 years at Rangers Football Club".

The rottweiler has given Murray a little warning nip but I've a feeling this could be the prelude to a savaging........
