LARSSON ALMOST READY FOR RETURN ON SATURDAY

Henrik Larsson has declared himself almost fit and ready for action on Saturday when Celtic take on Aberdeen at Celtic Park. Speaking on his own Icons.com website the Swede announced his expected return to fitness:

"We face Aberdeen again on Saturday, and I'm sure they'll be coming down looking to get a little bit of revenge on us, but we will stay focused as we always do. It's a game that I would obviously hope to be playing in, and I'm working on my hamstring injury, which is still getting
better.
I love playing and it's frustrating when you're not involved, so I want to get back as soon as possible. It's still a matter of taking it a day at a time. I'll have a run tomorrow and see if there is any reaction, and then I'll have a good idea of where I'm at."

Larsson has also been speaking in admiration of the goal scoring form of John Hartson:

"We'd heard a lot about him when he was in the Premiership, and now he's proving himself again with Celtic. Stilian Petrov got the other goal, and it's always good for a team to have players in lots of different positions, who can score goals. I'm sure that has been one of the things that has helped us over the last couple of seasons"

With Hartson missing through suspension on Saturday Celtic may be forced to risk Larsson in what has now become a premier League grudge match against the Dons.
