KILMARNOCK APPROACH CELTIC OVER BURNS

Celtic boss Martin O'Neill has confirmed that Kilmarnock have made an approach to Celtic for permission to speak to Tommy Burns regarding the vacant manager's slot at Rugby Park. Burns was, of course, the Kilmarnock boss in the early 1990's and is thought to be keen to return to management. It is thought likely that he will be assisted by Pat Bonner should he secure the post at Kilmarnock.
