Keane Expecting Celtic Offer

Roy Keane's agent Michael Kennedy has today claimed that he is "expecting a call" from Celtic regarding the Irish midfielder.

Keane departed Manchester United last week and Celtic are the bookmakers' favourites to sign him.

What is slightly worrying though, is Kennedy's comments regarding his client's wages, which would have to take a significant drop if Celtic were to secure his signature.

Kennedy said, "Roy is not yet prepared to accept he'll have to compromise on the situation.

"There has been a lot of interest in him and he has a lot to consider.

"Celtic have not stepped up their interest but we are expecting a call."

Speaking of Keane's wages, Celtic Chairman Brian Quinn said, "That is a figure which is out of the question as far as we are concerned. We'd have to see what he is proposing and indeed if he is looking for something at Celtic."
