Junglebhoys make Lisbon Theirs

Last updated : 01 November 2006 By Jack Kennedy
The Junglebhoys have started to arrive in Lisbon and the talk amongst the Benfica fans is not about tonights game but about the Gesture being made by the Celtic fans in displaying a huge Banner in honour of Miklos Feher the Benfica player who died during a match.

The Junglebhoys have organised the banner after a few people on Celtic websites mentioned that a tribute to the player would be a nice gesture and donations for the banner from the worldwide Celtic family came in quickly.

The banner will be handed over to Benfica fans after the game. The Junglebhoys have been striving to bring the Colour back to Celtic park and have been criticised by a small minority of Celtic fans for making a banner for another team.

Considering that the banner will be seen by millions on TV and will be included in the report of the UEFA observer on fan behaviour this banner is not only a great humanitarian gesture but is also well worth the money in a business sense as well.

Alternative fans group the Green Brigade have also made a home made Lisbon Lions tribute banner which will be displayed at the game. This home made banner is more in style with "Ultras" groups and is a great and fitting tribute to the most famous group of Celtic players who will be at the match and will see the banner unfurled. The Green Brigades banner will no doubt also be seen at Celtic Park at some point as well.

These fans groups are making an EFFORT and they are slowly but surely bringing the atmosphere back to Paradise and enhancing the Name of Celtic across the world.

Junglebhoys and green Brigade.Your hard work is recognised and although you may not get told this a lot, It is VERY much appreciated by the most important people. The Fans.

Take a bow and well done
