It has been reported this morning that Celtic have won the race to sign Dundee United captain Barry Robson in a 1.25M deal. Robson had made it no secret that Parkhead was his preferred destination and it is being reported in the Daily Mail today that the deal has gone through.
The story, which is devoid of any quote or comment, which could be construed, as factual suggests that Celtic have pipped Nottingham Forest to the signature of the left-sided midfielder. Quite why Celtic have chosen to buy yet another midfielder is beyond me, even though he can play at left back is he any better than players we already have at our disposal? More importantly which one of those players is he going to dispose in order to gain a place in the squad?
