Scott Brown - scored in Scotland's victory over Macedonia
Artur Boruc is receiving treatment for a calf strain following Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland. Boruc played well in Poland's 1-1 draw at the Slaski Stadium in Chorzow but he could miss the midweek qualifier against Slovenia.

Celtic team-mate Lukasz Zaluska is on standby to take over in goals should the 'Holy Goalie' not respond to treatment but the Poles are hopeful that the injury is not too serious. "Obviously, everyone hopes Artur's injury is not too serious." said a Polish FA spokesman. "He's had ultrasound treatment on the leg muscle and the coach and all the staff are hoping he can play against Slovenia."

Scott Brown had to leave the field when he took an ankle knock during Scotland's 2-0 win over Macedonia on Saturday. He was initially rated very doubtful for Wednesday's vital clash against Holland but Scotland manager George Burley has received a boost with the news that the midfielder's injury is not as bad as was first feared.

Brown, who scored his first international goal on Saturday, is an integral part of the Scottish team, having played in every game in this current World Cup qualifying campaign, and although he will continue to receive treatment over the next couple of days the Scotland medical staff are confident that he'll be okay to play against the Dutch.

"Scott got a whack on his ankle after 10 or 15 minutes and eventually had to come off." said manager Burley. "But he is a strong character and he is desperate to play. He has been in getting treatment and it's not as bad as we first feared. I'm optimistic that he will be available for Wednesday night."
