Huns in points deduction scare

Glasgow Rangers are embroiled in a points deduction scare after Sectarian singing and racial abuse chanted and sung by their away support at the match with Motherwell on Sunday. The Spl and SFA have been made aware of the vile chants sung by the Rangers "faithful" and Rangers are worried that they will be fined or deducted points.

Rangers fans have been on websites organising their favourite songs to be sung at away games and have been under the false impression that it is only during Uefa observed games that the restrictions on their behaviour can be reported on. The club itself however is aware of this Uefa regulation which means that the SPL and the SFA are duty bound to report any offences and that to ignore these offences would be tantamount to showing support for the Ibrox club (whats new).

Any member association or club whose supporters engage in such conduct will incur a minimum CHF30,000 (€19,000) penalty. In particular circumstances, the disciplinary body may impose additional sanctions on the member association or club responsible, such as the playing of one or more games behind closed doors, a stadium closure, awarding of a match by default, deduction of points or disqualification from the competition. Any form of extremist ideological propaganda is banned before, during, and after games. The provisions are in line with stipulations introduced by world football's governing body FIFA earlier this year.

Looks like the Ibrox stands might be as empty as their trophy room very soon. There is a rumour that they may fill them up with giant blow up Lucozade bottles to gain some advertising revenue.
