Huns fighting outside ibrox. Police protection needed

Last updated : 11 November 2006 By Jack Kennedy
A protest outside Ibrox organised by several Rangers websites erupted into violence as they chanted "Murray Out" after the Game which saw Rangers win against Dunfermline.

Fights broke out after many decent Rangers fans reacted to the vermin that had had gathered and police had to cordon off the protestants (is that the right word?) from the rest of the Rangers fans and scuffles broke out.

Scottish radio stations named and shamed the various websites involved and Radio pundits roundly condemned the demonstration as an act of stupidity.

Rangers supporters fighting amongst themselves even after a win is not unusual and the Police are well capable of handling the situation but this type of fighting tends to spill over into the city centre where innocent passers by get the full fury of the drunken fans wrath.

Just as well they won I suppose.
