Holy Goalie vows to be fit in time for the visit of TFOD

Artur Boruc is convinced he can win his fitness battle to give Celtic a massive boost for their New Year meeting with Rangers.

Boruc underwent surgery a fortnight ago after helping Celtic into the last 16 of the Champions League against Milan.

And now Boruc believes he will be fit enough to face the Orcs at Parkhead on January 2, and nothing is going to get in the way of Boruc facing Walter’s wattenaccio wonders.

Boruc was back in rehabilitation at Celtic's Lennoxtown training base yesterday and hopes to begin full training towards the end of next week.

"I will not be back in Poland over Christmas, as I will be concentrating on recovering my fitness," Boruc said last night. "The knee feels good and, by the end of the month, I should be able to kick the ball and train properly.

"I always wanted to be fit in time for the Rangers game on January 2 and I am still hopeful."

Well done Artur, still true to the cause regardless of speculation about your future.

Merry Boże Narodzenie Artur

Yours in Celtic
