Holy Goalie Concerned That His Price Tag May Scare Off Potential Suitors.

Artur boruc has today stated that he feels that the clubs valuation of him is too high, stating that most clubs couldn't justify such an outlay for a 'keeper.

I am not going to read into this statement too much at this early stage, it would be very easy to get carried away and unduly concerned that Artur is ready to move on, although I am sure that the Red Top headlines of will no doubt be hinting that Artur is trying to engineer a move away from Parkhead. Until we know what context these comments were made in then it is impossible to know if Artur views his future at Celtic in a positive manner or not.

The quote, which appeared on the Setanta website today states The top 10 clubs in the world are prepared to pay £15 million for a striker but not a keeper," said Boruc.

"I don't know if any other club wants me. I had a good season with Celtic and we won the championship for the third time in a row.

"I enjoyed the experience of playing in the Champions League with Celtic and the European Championship with Poland, although I was disappointed we didn't make the quarter finals."

Let's hope that this does deter clubs from tabling bids for the highly rated keeper, who in my opinion is the best goalkeeper at Celtic in a generation, maybe even a couple of generations.

Yours in Celtic
